Concluding my 20s; undoubtedly no passion will go undisturbed. The wise poet Tupac once said, “I’m not saying I’m gonna change the world, but I guarantee that I will spark the brain that will change the world.” Searching for opportunity has led me to the Pacific Northwest. Determined. Long-suffering. Disciplined.
Dream chasing isn’t cultivated or necessarily nurtured back at home. The flat Midwest gives us no reason to look up. This is both metaphorically and literally. Family, with the everlacking examples on what to do, somehow finds their way to give unsolicited advice. I've been forced to trailblaze.
Making it to the coast wasn’t easy with the recent passing of my father on Thanksgiving…made 2020 that much more of a blast! He lost his twin three days prior. I recall Daddy motivating me by telling me to be a better version of him.
Everyday I awake thanking God for the ability to become more focused as well as continue to conquer goals. After living in over 25 residences, working nearly 30 jobs; I am motivated by generational curses. I’ve been to Paris, New Zealand, Canada, and 22 of the 50 states. My undergraduate degree was in Elementary & Special Education. Finishing my Masters in Urban and Regional Planning has come with loads of hiccups.
When the going gets tough I recall my childhood experiences of normalizing domestic violence, combatting depression, and defying the odds of record breaking homicides in Indianapolis. My niece and nephews push my servant leadership style, but I look towards making a larger transcendental impact on the world via Entertainment, Policy, and Community Organizing.
My ultimate goal in life is to succeed in becoming a media tycoon and real estate tycoon. Concurrently, I want to motivate others to follow their passion(s) by leading with the Lord; allowing their art to be representative of themselves - whatever that artistic medium.
